This hanging Evil Eye Talisman depicts multiple Nazar amulets as well as a filigreed Hamsa. Perfect for hanging on or near a door, or anywhere else where you could use extra protection.
The amulet against the Evil Eye dates at least as far back as Classical Greece, where it was believed that negative intent could be transmitted through a person’s gaze. The form most often seen is the Nazar, which is formed of glass and uses concentric circles to suggest the form of an eye. It is intended to ward off or cast back malignant forms of energy that may be directed against the bearer of the talisman, such as jealousy, grudges, curses, and ill wishes.
In many spiritual traditions the Hamsa or Fatima hand represents the hand of God. It is believed that it offers spiritual protection and wards off evil for the wearer. It is also believed to bring goodness, abundance, fertility, luck, and good health. When depicted with an eye inside of the hand, as here, it can be interpreted as the eye of God.
