Singing bowls have been used for musical and religious practices for over 1500 years. The natural and harmonious sound produced when the singing bowl is played ushers in a deep state of relaxation, which assists in reaching and maintaining a meditative state. Singing bowls are also used in chakra healing, sound therapy, Reiki, feng shui, space and energy clearing, stress relief, and many different types of music.
The Endless Knot is one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Tibetan Buddhism (Ashtamangala) which are used as teaching tools to point to qualities of enlightenment.
It is a symbol of the interconnectedness, interdependence, and ultimate unity of everything in the Universe. Because the knot has no beginning and no end, it can also represent the eternal continuum of the mind; the Samsara cycle of birth, death, and rebirth; and the endless wisdom and compassion of the Buddha.
The Endless Knot can also be interpreted to reflect the interplay of interdependent dualities that will eventually lead to their union, and harmony in the Universe.
