These lovely tingshas have an antique brass finish featuring the Eight Auspicious Symbols (Ashtamangala): Conch Shell, Endless Knot, Pair of Golden Fish, Lotus, Parasol, Vase, Wheel of the Law, and Victory Banner. These symbols are teaching tools to point to qualities of enlightenment.
Tingshas are small cymbals used in by Tibetan Buddhist practitioners for sacred and ritualistic purposes. When the rims are struck against each other, they produce a clear, high-pitched, chiming tone that should be allowed to resonate until it disappears. They can be rung to signify that you are creating or closing a sacred space, such as for prayer, ritual, meditation, or yoga. They can also be used for clearing spaces, sound healing, or for music, especially in combination with singing bowls or other instruments.
